Description

"First Channel Crossing by Air" Lithograph in Mustard Yellow Bobbin FrameOne of a series of original lithographs depicting various balloon expeditions. This one relates to the first aerial crossing of the English Channel on 7 January 1785 by French pilot Jean Pierre Blanchard & American Dr John Jeffries who paid for the venture. The lithograph is framed in one of our pale mustard bobbin frames and measures 27. 5cm x 43 cm.
